DYNAMOS will finally get their prize money for winning the 2025 Chibuku Super Cup by the end of the week, by which time they would have appeared before a Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee, to answer charges of bringing the game into disrepute.

DeMbare beat Triangle United 1-0 in a drama-filled final at Gibbo on November 22 and are due to receive $75 000 for their success.

For winning the cup a record three straight seasons, DeMbare will also get to keep the silverware for good.

However, the Harare giants are yet to get their prize money because they have a pending disciplinary matter the PSL.

Dynamos were accused of causing a delay to the start of the Chibuku Super Cup final, when they protested against the number of match balls that were supposed to be used for the match.

The final only kicked off 20 minutes later than schedule.

Resultantly, Dynamos and their technical staff will appear before the PSL Disciplinary Committee tomorrow.

But, Zimpapers Sports Hub has established that DeMbare have already pleaded guilty and are now awaiting the quantum of their penalty.

Should the case attract a fine, the PSL will deduct the amount from DeMbare’s prize money, before disbursing the remainder to the Harare giants.

PSL chief executive officer Rodwell Thabe yesterday explained the situation.

“We have paid everyone except Dynamos because they have a pending case, but we are not saying they will lose the case.

“It’s the procedure, we withhold the money when there is a pending judgement,” Thabe said.

He added: “The judgement will be delivered in the next few days, then they (Dynamos) will be paid their Chibuku Super Cup prize money.

“If they lose the case and they are fined, we will deduct the money (penalty) from their prize.”

Dynamos chairman, Moses Maunganidze, confirmed his club were yet to receive their Chibuku Super Cup dues.

“We are yet to receive the funds, as to why, we are not sure.

“It’s something we have already put before the PSL to advise of the time-lines,” he said.

But Maunganidze is aware Dynamos have to appear before a PSL Disciplinary hearing tomorrow.

A PSL letter dated December 3, and signed off by Communications and Media Officer, Kudzai Bare, accused Dynamos of improper conduct, before the Chibuku Super Cup final.

“The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has summoned Dynamos FC and their technical officials Kelvin Kaindu, Thomas Ruzive, Takesure Chinyama and Thulani Muzambwa to appear before the PSL Disciplinary Committee on charges of disorderly conduct which resulted in the delay of the match kick-off during their Chibuku Super Cup fixture against Triangle United FC played on 29 November 2025 at Gibbo Stadium.

“The club and its officials are accused of disturbing the normal proceedings of a match, failing to comply with lawful instructions and engaging in conduct deemed improper and likely to bring the league into dis-repute in terms of the PSL Rules and Regulations.

“The disciplinary hearing is scheduled to take place on Thursday 11 December 2025 at 1730 hours at the PSL offices,” wrote the PSL.

Dynamos are desperate for funds as they want to settle outstanding bonuses to their players.
