A special envoy from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the country’s Minister of Regional Integration, Floribert Anzuluni Isiloketshi, paid a courtesy call on President Mnangagwa on Wednesday at State House in Harare.

Speaking to the media after their closed-door meeting, the Congolese envoy said he was sent by President Felix Tshisekedi to update President Mnangagwa on the peace processes initiated in the US and Qatar.

He said the purpose of the visit was also to seek support from African countries to ensure lasting peace in Eastern DRC.

On Tuesday, Minister Isiloketshi also visited Togo and Congo-Brazzaville for similar discussions.

He is also scheduled to travel to Zambia and South Africa on Wednesday.
