PRESIDENT Mnangagwa on Tuesday morning joined fellow global leaders at the official opening of the World Governments Summit (WGS), as Dubai hosts the largest edition of the high-level gathering in its history.

Organisers said the three-day summit has attracted 45 heads of State and Government, more than 6 000 delegates, and 700 chief executive officers of leading companies from around the world, alongside senior policymakers, innovators and thought leaders.

Held under the theme “Shaping Future Governments,” the World Governments Summit seeks to advance international cooperation while developing tools, ideas and policy frameworks essential for building resilient, inclusive and future-ready governments.

The annual forum provides a global platform for dialogue on governance, economic transformation, digitalisation, sustainability and emerging technologies, bringing together decision-makers to exchange experiences and coordinate responses to shared global challenges.

President Mnangagwa’s participation comes as Zimbabwe continues to pursue enhanced international engagement, investment partnerships and policy-driven cooperation with global stakeholders.
